Darnell Hammock
Pastor Darnell C. Hammock is a native of Oakland, CA, #GoRaiders (for now) and a proud alumnus of California State University, Fresno. Pastor Hammock accepted Christ the day after having a unique, life changing experience at a nightclub the summer of July 2005 (ask him about it when you see him). Shortly afterwards, he was called to the ministry at the age of twenty-five. He initially began serving as Director of Men’s Ministry at Pearly Grove Baptist Church in Fresno, CA, under the leadership of Bishop Charles Dickerson. In 2008, Pastor Hammock was elevated to Executive Pastor at Pearly Grove Baptist Church.
With the blessing of his pastor, Pastor Hammock returned to the Bay Area in January 2011, to begin preparations for planting New Life Community Church. During this time, he also served as Pastor of Young Adults at Calvary Hill Community Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Joseph Bryant, Jr. and provided leadership to the Young Adult Ministry for the Northern California State – Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship from 2009 to 2012.
On January 6, 2013, Pastor Hammock launched New Life Community Church, where he continues to serve as Lead Pastor. Since its inception, New Life has been on a mission to “Impact the World One Soul at a Time by Loving God and Loving People!” Pastor Hammock’s unconventional approach to ministry and his undeniable love for people, has proven to be effective in reaching many and giving hope to all.
While Pastor Hammock’s commitment to New Life is resilient, he is also involved in various organizations throughout the community, which include but are not limited to: Former Board Member for KYJO Group Homes (Keeping Youth Journeying Onward); member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall F&AM; Faith in Action; and Bay Area Clergy Cohort.
Pastor Hammock is married to entrepreneur and Dream Chaseher Academy founder, Jennifer Hammock. The two of them are submitted members of the Shepherds Connection, where Dr. R.A. Vernon and Lady Victory Vernon provide leadership and covering.
Pastor Hammock is the proud father to Jaylen Steven, Darius Clifton, and Jayla Simone.

First Lady Jennifer Hammock
Lady Jenn is an award winning servant leader, entrepreneur, dream coach, author, and sought-after speaker, with a sincere heart to uplift women. In April of 2017 all while being pregnant, she published her first book, Dream Chaser, which has sold over 500 copies. Lady Jenn is the curator of “The Dream ChaseHer Conference” a women’s empowerment event that draws women from across the nation each year to uplift and connect like minded women.
Prayer remains a passion of Lady Jenn, having lead many prayer campaigns that has resulted in documented miracles, signs, and wonders. She prayerfully inspires, encourages, and challenges women to live a life beyond comfort zones, possess active faith, and become the person God created them to be. Lady Jenn also serves as the Women’s Director of New Life Community Church.
In addition to being a supportive wife, Jennifer is a mother of two sweet boys and one destined girl. Her favorite bible verse is Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His promise.” Jennifer is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. When she isn’t inspiring others, she likes to stuff her face with sweet treats, travel and enjoy the outdoors.
